What now seems like forever ago, I used to play a guy named Jay Shurling on TV. I was a sportscaster in North Carolina at WGHP-TV. I welcome you to click and view the broadcast excellence. Feel free to insert you own sarcasm after. View at your own risk….you’ve been warned…..side effects may include laughter, pity and anger at those that let this happen for so long.
It was a great time in my life…. I looked into that camera without even thinking about the tens of thousands, sometime hundreds of thousands of people that could see ME. The one lesson learned that served me beyond compare was the idea to make sure that camera understood what I was broadcasting and then others watching would understand too and hopefully be informed, entertained and come back for more !
That one-on-one thought process is the MOST important with your social marketing program.
Avoid those folks that can guarantee you 500 followers per month. That’s horse-hockey (Had to get a M*A*S*H* reference in there, attributed to Col. Potter).
In my opinion, the best way to add to your likes, followers, circles or blog is to simply follow page one of the Jay Shurling sports broadcasting playbook and put focus on reaching ONE. If that one person is informed and entertained, chances are good they’ll come back for more and bring some friends with them. And you are on your way !
Then watch what happens from there. That’s the magic of finding the focus and the content that get your brand & products noticed, shared and ultimately purchased.

Have to laugh at or with you dear!!! I love reading your blog!!!
Judy… that means alot that you are following my blog…. I hope that you got a chance to read “I Am RICH !” It’s my most successful post so far. All thanks to Richie B.
